Why patients choose us

Many women postpone this for years

Piles after childbirth, a fissure that makes every morning painful, a fistula nobody wants to talk about. The most common reason women delay treatment is not cost or fear of the procedure. It is not wanting to be examined by a male doctor.

Swasthi Ayurveda is led by a woman surgeon. Examination and treatment of female patients is carried out by Dr. Sumukhi herself, with a female attendant present, and you can write to us first in Kannada, Hindi or English before committing to a visit.

Ano-rectal care for women

Kshara Sutra, in one paragraph

A thread coated in medicated alkali is passed through the fistula tract and changed once a week. It cuts through the tract at about half a millimetre a day while the tissue behind it heals shut. The sphincter is never severed in a single cut, which is why the method is chosen for high, branching and previously operated tracts.
